Grow Your Own May 2021
This is a busy and exciting month in the garden, with plenty of crops springing into life, and early harvests coming into the kitchen. I have been enjoying spending more time in my own garden, and have added a new fruit bed, which has been really exciting, and I look forward to reaping the rewards later in summer! Our contributors are keeping busy on their plots, with Anne Swithinbank planting summer squash, Nick Bailey looking at the history of maize, Charles Dowding busting common gardening myths, and much more. As well as this, the RHS is sharing expert advice on growing red, pink, and white currants, keeping on top of weeds, and hand pollinating stone fruits – so there is plenty to be getting on with! Happy growing!
